Hello and welcome to Intimate Truths!
My name is Rachel and I can’t begin to tell you how glad I am that you are here. We have a lot to talk about and we’re only just starting to scratch the surface of all of the things we’ll be talking about here at IT.
Please take a second and take this little tour around Intimate Truths (IT for short). Thanks again for visiting and I hope to have you back again soon to learn more about the amazing body God designed and everything that goes along with your reproductive system: physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally.
Click here to read why this site exists, who it’s aimed at (all women!), and more.
Intimate Truths will have a range of posts and pages written with every woman in mind to those aimed at sexually active married women, each marked with a banner across the top to let you know at which level you are about to read. Our board of advisors helps make these determinations based on prayerful consideration. Our aim is not to make you feel bad about wanting to learn more than what you are currently experiencing but to instead carefully think over (and talk about with your parents, boyfriend, fiance, accountability partner, etc) whether or not what you are about to read is edifying, encouraging, and helpful in both maintaining your purity and preparing for your next level of sexual intimacy. We want to respect and protect your ability to choose what you’re exposed to at particular points along that journey.
Yes, I am building a site entirely devoted to the discussion of sex and sexuality amongst Christian women. For more on how I got here, why I’m doing this, and more about my heart for reaching women regarding this incredibly important subject, please click here.
I know how hard it is to be real and honest with things as personal as sexuality and sex. To respect that and to encourage you to ask the questions you might not be comfortable asking someone else, you are allowed to leave anonymous comments. Please read the full comment policy for more explanation.
As for suggestions and ideas, I’d love to hear from you about what you’d like to read about here at IT. I am currently working with contributing writers to bring different perspectives to balance and compliment the science background I will be writing from. Please click here to ask questions, leave feedback, and suggest ideas for future topics to cover! There will be a periodic “Ask Rachel” post and I definitely need your questions in order to make that happen! You can also check out the category listing to the right for a quick peek at what we’ve already mapped out to talk about in the weeks and months to come.
Along with a board of advisors (who have been praying for this venture for longer than I even knew about!), Intimate Truths also has a body of consultants. These Christian women have committed to supporting the IT ministry by both their endorsement as well as the lending of their expertise as needed.
Last but definitely not least, if you’re still not convinced that there needs to be a site like this, please read this introductory blog post about why we should discuss intimate truths. Intimate acknowledges that yes, they’re very personal, yet they are also amazing truths that need to be shared in the right way, at the right time, and with the right people.
